NNG shortlisted for Telematics Update Awards
With its iGO Navigation solution for Tracks4Africa, NNG is one of six finalists nominated for Best Telematics Product or Service Launch in a BRICS Market
NNG has entered the final round of the BRICS category for a Telematics Update Award, a new category recognizing the best telematics solutions in emerging markets. The company has been shortlisted for the Tracks4Africa’s Overland Navigator App, an Android and iOS smartphone app running on the iGO Navigation Engine. The app brings a first to the African smartphone navigation market: a localized and user-friendly software that turns community data into verified maps, crucial for reliable and safe navigation on African roads. Since its debut in mid-March 2013, this app has been featured among the top 3 grossing apps in the navigation category of the South Africa App Store for iPhone.
The award winners will be unveiled in Novi, Michigan on 4 June 2013, the night before the opening of the Telematics Detroit 2013. At the conference and its concurrent exhibition on 5-6 June, NNG is further planning to reveal its latest navigation innovation.
This shortlisting follows NNG scooping a set of awards earlier in 2013. In February, the company won the Hungarian Office of the Year title for its new Budapest HQ building; in March, NNG was awarded the Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize and the 2012 World Finance 100 Award.
