NNG Launches iPhone Car Dock for iGO primo app

To maximize in-car usability and navigation safety with iGO primo app, NNG has launched a new mounting station for iPhone.

The company’s first ever hardware product turns the iPhone into a handy sound and entertainment control center on every car dashboard, optimizing the iPhone’s function as a navigation device in every situation.

The iGO primo app Car Dock set was designed to make using the popular navigation app even more convenient and entertaining. The car mount comes with a charger, and incorporates a microphone and an audio connection to the car radio, either via plug-and-play AUX or an FM transmitter. Users can set the frequency inside the application, and tune in their car radio. The connection ensures clear and audible navigation instructions over the car speakers, drowning out even background traffic noise. Music stored on the iPhone and internet radio can also be played through the car’s infotainment system.

The new car dock increases safety during navigation by avoiding unstable mounting solutions and eliminating the need for the driver to hold the smartphone by hand. The user is further able to make hands-free calls through the built-in microphone and to control the sound volume through the radio instead of having to find buttons on the iPhone touch screen. With the iGO primo app Car Dock, owners can also use the navigation app on long-distance trips thanks to the accompanying charger. The gadget, suitable for docking iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S devices, can be mounted on the windscreen or dashboard in a horizontal or vertical position since the app supports auto orientation.

The iGO primo app Car Dock is available immediately for EUR 69.90 through the iGO My way website and the Shop menu inside the application. For more information about the product, visit www.igonavigation.com/igoprimocardock. The application itself will shortly be updated in iTunes to support the possible connections with the car radio.* To win your own version of iGO primo app and the new car dock, visit the iGO My way Facebook page where several games will be running in the following weeks.

*Most regional editions of iGO primo app will have been updated by the end of December 2011 to include the purchase option for the car dock and the necessary software changes.
