A Day for Female Programmers of the Future
During this year’s Girls’ Day, NNG welcomes female high school students who want to learn more about the IT industry. On April 24th, these schoolgirls can gain insight into a career at NNG by attending an open day especially organized for them.
The female perspective is equally essential in the field of IT. For this reason, NNG is holding an open day for 9th-, 10th- and 11th-grade girls who are interested in information technology and computer sciences on April 24th. For the first time, female students can learn more about the work, life, and culture of this industry with the help of NNG, developer of the globally-renowned iGO Navigation and one of Hungary’s most respected IT companies. This local version of the internationally initiated event is organized by the Association of Hungarian Women in Science with the aim of drawing the high school girls’ attention to the potential opportunities in the IT or engineering careers.
Ladies’ Special Insight
Students visiting NNG’s headquarters will meet Andrea Magyari, HR director, and have an interactive discussion with the company’s female colleagues about the benefits of choosing an IT-related profession as a woman. Following this session, one of the lead developers will invite the girls for a team game combined with a navigation quiz. In closing, the guests will receive useful tips from NNG’s HR colleagues on future study and career choices.
